The intended objective and benefits of participation for students include guided career planning, goals articulation, reflection and communication. Students may also be provided with opportunities to network and leverage their mentor’s professional relationships to foster internship, summer research and/or other connections.
Faculty mentors can also help students determine which area of research they may be interested in pursuing.
A series of professional development workshops and peer support opportunities will also be facilitated throughout this program. Students who complete full program requirements will be eligible for U of T Co-Curricular Record (CCR) recognition.
Program Requirements for CCR Validation
Students are required to complete (1) four meetings with their faculty mentor, (2) submit reflective deliverables after each meeting with faculty mentor, and (3) attend four seminar workshops over the academic year for CCR validation.
Program registration and enrolment takes place at the beginning of the fall term each academic year.
